Ideally meets the regulations of world-class shooting events for "standard pistol" at 25 m.
The Russia's A-class shooters with IZH-35Đś pistol used to win major rewards on the Olympic Games,
World and Europe Championships. The trigger mechanism can be adjusted for trigger pull,
let-off pressure, slack and trigger stop. Blow-back operated.

Accuracy Claim: IZH35M Scrapbook
My initial accuracy was disappointing, but after scrubbing the bore vigorously
on the same gunsmith's recommendation, after 5 fouling shots, almost everything when
into at least 10-ring groups at 50 yds, usually better.

History of the Walther KSP200
Saturday, 12 June 2004
The IZH-35M, produced by Baikal is the core product of the Walther KSP.
Walther buy's the gun without a handgrip. Walther deassamble's the gun, polishes the inside,
assambles the gun.
Because the IZH-35M has no slide catching stops, Walther inserts one for you.
Then the Moroni grips are put on the gun.

On the right you see a picture of the Russian IZH-35M.
You can clearly see the equalities to the Walther Ksp 200.

The IZH-35M is the main stay of the Russian Olimpic .22 International Pistols.
The IZH-35M is typical Russian, crudely finished, cheaply made and totaly reliable.
Using a unique feed that keeps the bore very low in the hand, the IZH is a truely
competitive pistol that retails for less then $500.

The quality of this pistol is most readily displayed by the fact that Walther is refining
these pistols and then puting their own name on them has seen on this page.
The Moroni grips that are part of the Walther version realy make the pistol, and
of course drive up the cost. It is also available in a right or left handed version from Walther.

The KSP Devil appairs to only be available from Walther Germany from
the Walther Target Shop. I found this interesting since no other pistols listed on
the Walther page include the Target Shop designation

BAIKAL IZH-35M .22 NEW So good, Walther sold them as the "KPS 2000"! A very competitive standard gun!
Comes with two mags etc New stock coming in March, price aprox--$1350
Baikal (Not really Another Russian Arms Factory)
Baikal is a foreign trade organization this is similar to North China Industries (NORINCO).
This was a governmental organization that was used to market Soviet goods abroad.
Similarly, all shotguns, both of the Izhevsk and Tula manufacture, were branded as BAIKAL.
The largest supplier of shotguns was the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant.
Since the end of the Cold War, Russian Industries have been in a great state of flux.
Production of the IZH-35M are an on-again, off-again proposition.
There are new IZH-35M's to be had.
But, when encountered, they should be NEW ... oldstock.
When you find one ... don't hesitate to buy it - it will, most likely, sell quickly
